Put your business in front of the people doing local jobs
BidMyJob is where local people find work: tradespeople, handymen, and helpers lending a hand nearby. Sponsor the site and your brand reaches the ones doing the kind of work you choose, in the area you serve, every time a job is posted.
Be the only sponsor for your trade in your area. One business per trade per area, so your competitors can’t buy the same spot. Slots are limited.
How it works
1. Pick the type of work
Flooring, decorating, gardening, plumbing, or any of our job types. Your banner only goes to people who've said they do that kind of work.
2. Pick your area
Choose a postcode, say your branch or trade counter, and a radius. Every member and every job on the site is mapped to a real location, so we know who's within your area.
3. Your banner goes out
In the job alert emails people get when work they do is posted near them, and on the job pages and local listings they browse.
4. Every click is tracked
Each click on your banner is counted before it reaches your website, so you can see exactly what you're getting.
5. Monthly report
At the start of each month you get a report showing how often your banner was shown and clicked, broken down by trade and town.
Where your banner appears
Job alert emails
People who do the kind of work you chose, emailed when a job is posted near them. They signed up for these, so they open them.
Job pages
Anyone looking at a job of your chosen type in your area, which mostly means people deciding whether to bid.
Local job listings and town pages
People browsing work in a town, e.g. flooring jobs in Burnham-on-Sea.
What it looks like
Sell to homeowners too
Add the people posting jobs. Your banner appears in the email telling them a bid has arrived, and on their own job page, just as they’re about to spend money on the work. Someone who has just posted “repaint my lounge” is exactly who a paint shop wants to reach.
Ideal for paint and DIY shops, garden centres, and carpet, furniture and kitchen showrooms.
Each homeowner is reached around the one job they’ve posted, so the numbers are smaller than for people doing the work, but the timing is better. It’s an optional extra on top of your main sponsorship.
Honest numbers
We only count what we can stand behind. An email counts as shown when a job alert carrying your banner is delivered. We don’t claim email opens, because they can’t be measured reliably any more. On the website, your banner counts once it’s actually on someone’s screen, not just somewhere on the page. Clicks from automated link checkers and bots are excluded.
Who can sponsor
The people bidding here trust us not to send their customers elsewhere. So sponsors sell to them or support them. They never compete with them for the jobs posted here.

Questions
- How much does it cost?
- It depends on the types of work and the size of the area you want to reach. Get in touch and we'll tell you how many people doing that work are in your area, and what it would cost.
- Will my competitors be advertising next to me?
- Not in your slot. Sponsorships are sold one business per trade per area for a fixed term, so no other sponsor can target the same types of work in the same area while yours is running. When your term ends, you get first refusal to renew before the slot is offered to anyone else.
- Do you share who saw or clicked my banner?
- No. Reports are totals by trade, town and month. We never pass on anyone's name, email or contact details. Your banner is always clearly labelled as sponsored.
- Can I change my banner?
- Yes. Your headline, wording, link, types of work, area and dates can all be changed during your sponsorship. Just ask.
- Where does the money go?
- Your sponsorship fee is spent promoting BidMyJob in your area, with your brand on the ads. Each monthly report itemises what was spent, where, and what it reached, so you can see it working twice: once on the site, and again in the ads.
